Daniel Tosh probably had to rape his girlfriend before she became his girlfriend
Daniel Tosh is a comedian.
He hosts the wildly popular and very funny Tosh.0 series on Comedy Central.
Recently, he’s come under a media shitstorm for doing what any seasoned comedian would’ve done when their livelihood is being threatened — he made a rape joke. Now, if you’ve ever caught his act you’d know that he isn’t the most kid-friendly comic out there. He’s actually very raunchy. Here he is telling a rape joke about his sister:
Yeah, he’s not exactly someone I’d take to see with your fourteen year old sister.
Now, having not known that (do you live under a rock?), some broad randomly went to the Laugh Factory one night to enjoy a night of stand-up comics doing their thing. Unfortunately for her, Dane Cook was performing.
Then this broad decided to voice her opinion while Daniel Tosh was going through his usual schtick of “rape jokes are always funny”. This was a terrible idea (almost as bad as blogging about her harrowing experience after the show). Because when comics get interrupted, they don’t take too kindly to it. In fact, they’ll most likely lash out and remind you that you paid to see them.
And that is what’s so fascinating about this latest episode at the Laugh Factory. It’s like this random broad had absolutely no idea what the rules are of attending a comedy show. Which are: 1. Enjoy the show and 2. Don’t be an asshole. Usually, a sane person won’t write about that time someone wished a gang-rape on them either. And if you do happen to write about it, please don’t make yourself out to be some righteous defender of women’s rights.
Yes, rape is bad. But jokes about rape can be funny. Ask Louis C.K.
Let the comic tell the joke and if you don’t find it funny, don’t laugh. Your silence is the most powerful weapon against a comic. Don’t go standing up and pretending to be a martyr. Don’t invite the comic to “gang-rape” you. Don’t go write on your shit blog about it. And don’t go thanking people for their support.

My friend and I wanted to thank everyone for there support and for getting this story out there. We just wanted everyone to know what Daniel Tosh had done and if you didn’t agree then to stop following him. My friend (who wishes to remain anonymous) is very surprised to have gotten any form of an apology and doesn’t wish to press any further charges against Daniel Tosh. We also wanted to thank those that started petitions and the like, it’s more than she ever wanted and those that helped make this story so popular it went to the media.
She does plan on returning to comedy shows in the future, but to see comedians that she’s seen before or to at least look up artists before going to their shows.
