Who else hates being shushed? It is one of the most annoying things another person can do while you are having an animated discussion on how meandering your conversation has become amongst friends. And that is how The Gang is drawn into the seedy and untrustworthy world of social networking.
All it takes is one douchebag bro in a cardigan sweater to set The Gang off. #@$% that guy. Cue theme song.
I always enjoy when The Gang tackles a topical issue such as abortion, welfare, crack addiction, and in this case, the power of social networking. You see, in their eyes, social networking is just a bunch of baloney created by mashing together viral videos, status updates, and tweets that do more harm for society than good. I don’t disagree — although it is great for stalking chicks.
While Mac and Dennis don’t believe in the power of facebook, Dee and Mac use it to start their own misadventure into confronting this douchebag shusher who interrupted their argument at some dark bar without a sign that only served gin. Yeah, it was one of those bars.
While Mac and Dee go on their own twisted version of Catfish in search of “The Shusher”, Dennis and Charlie go on their own misadventure by hitting up the gin bar in hopes of finding someone who could point out the douchebag with “evil almond eyes”. Frank is off to make a viral (or is it virus?) video to attract some more customers into Paddy’s Bar.
Shenanigans ensue. Charlie accuses “The Shusher” of raping Dennis. Dennis finds someone to draw a cartoon sketch of the perp. Mac falls into a transgendered situation. And Dee likes to send locks of her hair to strange men she meets online. The roles are reversed and what started out as an affront on The Gang, looks to be miniscule in the comparison to the abhorrent behavior of these four anti-socials. It’s really funny how that happened. But you didn’t really expect anything more from these goons, did you?
To wrap things up, we finally get to watch Frank’s finished video. It’s about as awful as you’ve come to expect. Which just means it’s pretty awesome.
And, by some insane miracle (how did Charlie get that sign down?), The Gang finds the #@$%er who started this whole insane day down the seedy side of facebooking and twittering.
