ESPN’s The Body Issue Will Make You Want To Follow Women’s Sports (NSFW)

I’ve done my best to be an active proponent for Title IX. I fully support the athletic endeavors of all female athletes, no matter their skill level. From the amateurs to the pros, I’ve got their back. It’s why I’ve featured female athletes on NoRubbers.tv so prominently in recent times. I <3 the female athlete.

So, it should go without saying that you should pick up ESPN’s The Body Issue and familiarize yourself with some of these very talented female athletes.

We Should All Be A Bit More Upset That Nastia Liukin Did Not Make Team USA

This is former 2008 All-Around Olympic World Champion, Nastia Liukin, faceplanting at the 2012 Team USA Olympic trials.

She did not make the cut.

We should all be more upset about this because she is now 22 years old and perfectly legal to roll around with on the mats. She was a world-class gymnast just four years ago, and now with her missing the cut, in spectacular fashion, Nastia Liukin’s self-confidence has just taken a nosedive. Perfect pickings!

And since she missed the cut, I guess we’ll just have to find another use for these Team USA portraits.
